In high school in 1985, two young teenagers began what would turn out to be a productive, multi-faceted friendship while frying fish at a local restaurant. Throughout the years, Brian Book and Craig Zurman remained friends and successfully partnered to create BookZurman.
Shortly after their friendship began, Craig started a successful entrepreneurial career founding a company in the electronics industry that is still in business today. Brian joined the Army and served during the first Gulf War. A service-related injury brought his military career to an end and he returned to school to earn a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering -- beginning his 25-year career in the manufacturing industry.
While fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, they developed the idea to start BookZurman. The company was founded on the men's passion to support our warfighters and U.S. veterans. The founding mission was to enable the Department of Defense to carry out its goal to provide the military forces needed to deter war, protect the security of our country, and enable the Veteran's Administration (VA) to fulfill President Lincoln's promise, "To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan" by serving and honoring the men and women who are America's veterans.
To this day, BookZurman continues to passionately provide solutions that improve the lives, health and future of the members of our military, U.S. veterans and their families.
